Minutes from 15 September 2008
Dear Colleague
Epsom Mental Health Week is almost upon us and the pace is hotting up – as you may tell by the delay in writing these minutes/later notes! We had a good meeting last week, and you will be very welcome at our next one on MONDAY 29 SEPTEMBER, 12noon-2pm at St Barnabas Church, Temple Road, Epsom.
JIMMY WHITE will be playing a match in Shanghai on 5 October and will not be able to attend the opening ceremony. We expressed our thanks to Pippa who has so valiantly negotiated with Jimmy’s agent.
THE BROCHURE has arrived and is being distributed by the Scouts to all the homes in Epsom. Copies are also being circulated to all faith groups, the business park, residential homes, GP practices, etc., etc., The car stickers seem to be an effective form of advertising.
EXHIBITORS The list is being finalised. Please email info@epsommentalhealthweek.org.uk if you have any spare tables that you can lend us for the week.
VOLUNTEERS The jigsaw is about to be put together. More offers of help would be gratefully received, by phone or email. Thank you.
PLAYS The rehearsals will soon begin for all the plays.
FACE PAINTER Our face painter is starting a new job that week: please contact us if you know of somebody who could help.
PRIZE Epsom Downs Racecourse has donated a day at the races for two people next Spring in the new Grandstand. Everybody attending an event during the week will be invited to take a free ticket and the Mayor will draw the winning number on 12 October.
EVALUATION All venues will have a visitors’ book where people may leave their contact details and any comments about the event. Numbers of attendees at events and hits on the website may also be recorded.
NEXT MEETING will be on TUESDAY 21 OCTOBER, 12noon-2pm at St Barnabas when we shall reflect, evaluate, look forward and……….
PARTY!
Thank you for all that you are doing.
Kind regards.
Sue
